Pyhä-Luosto Scenic road, Lapland

A Journey through Pyhä and Luosto Resort's Hidden Gems

Nestled within the captivating landscapes of Finnish Lapland, Road Number 962 connects the picturesque Pyhä and Luosto resorts. Beyond the breathtaking scenery, this enchanting route unveils a collection of hidden gems that will leave travelers spellbound.

At the core of the Pyhä-Luosto experience is Pyhä-Luosto National Park, a place where treeless fells meet lush valleys and untouched forests. Formed by the union of Finland’s oldest national park, Pyhätunturi, and the Luosto area, this is a destination steeped in natural wonder.

The Visitor Centre Naava near Pyhä introduces you to the park’s geological formations, ancient forests, and deep Sámi roots through engaging exhibitions and practical visitor information. From here, the national park’s well-marked trails invite exploration on foot or by bike, leading through peaceful pinewoods, along ridges, and into dramatic gorges carved over millennia.

Due to the attractions of Pyhä-Luosto, it is worth stopping, refreshing yourself, and capturing the most beautiful holiday photos in Lapland nature. Driving along the Tunturitie road only extends the journey by a few kilometers, but the experience is definitely worth the detour! The Luosto caravan camping site serves year-round from the reception of Lapland Hotels Luostotunturi.

Explore the experiences and adventures along the Tunturitie road.
