Luosto offers a wide range of activities and adventures for everyone who wants to explore the many possibilities of Lapland’s nature. In winter, you can snowshoe through magical snow-covered forests, climb the Via Ferrata route on the fell’s slope, or ride a snowmobile across the Arctic landscape. 

In summer, hike the trails of Pyhä-Luosto National Park, go mountain biking through scenic fell terrain, or try frisbee golf in the fresh northern air. Luosto’s activities are available year-round and suit both thrill-seekers and those looking for peaceful outdoor exercise. All experiences are easily accessible by foot or via the Pyhä-Luosto bus.
 

Winter activities in Luosto, Lapland

Luosto’s winter activities are available from November until the end of March. Some winter activities depending on snow conditions, but most can be enjoyed even without snow.The snow season in Luosto usually begins in November and continues until early May.

Please note that activities for winter 2026–2027 will be available for booking in autumn 2026. You can check suitable activities for this winter and inquire about next winter’s availability directly from the company. The activities will remain almost the same for the next season as well.

Summer & Autumn activities
 

Summer activities are available from early June until October. When the midnight sun in June and July bathes the fells in golden light and nature bursts into vibrant green, Luosto becomes a paradise for hikers, bikers, and explorers. Summer offers endless daylight, lakes, and peaceful trails through Pyhä-Luosto National Park.

As autumn arrives, the magic deepens. The forests glow in fiery shades of red, orange, and gold during ruska, Lapland’s famous fall foliage season. Crisp air, serene landscapes, and the first whispers of Northern Lights make this time unforgettable.
